In an interview with País Positivo magazine, published by Jornal SOL in its July 2026 edition, Oramix Board Member Paulo Pires discussed the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare and the cybersecurity challenges facing the sector.
During the interview, he argued that technology should support clinical decision making and never replace doctors. He also warned about the growing risks associated with connecting hospital equipment to networks.
“Artificial intelligence, particularly in healthcare, does not aim to replace doctors. Rather than acting as a pilot, I would say that AI is intended to be a copilot,” he said.
