On 7 May, Oramix hosted an executive lunch that brought together the cybersecurity managers of the Beira Baixa Intermunicipal Community. Organised in partnership with Emvenci, the session addressed the challenges of protecting infrastructure in local public administration and the risks associated with insufficient investment in user training.
The session was led by Carlos Caldeira, Cybersecurity Manager & CISO at Oramix, and focused on the evolving threat landscape and the increasing regulatory pressure faced by public organisations. In a sector where resources are often limited and compliance requirements continue to grow, the discussion highlighted the importance of ensuring effective detection and response capabilities without relying exclusively on dedicated internal teams.
Oramix’s Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) approach was presented as a response to this challenge. By combining real-time telemetry, intelligent automation and proactive monitoring, this solution enables organisations to significantly reduce incident detection and response times. It provides coverage across endpoints, cloud, identity and email without the complexity and costs associated with a traditional SOC.
Alexandre Aniceto, Founder and CEO of Emvenci, reinforced the importance of continuous training for users who handle sensitive information on a daily basis. Through a gamified experience, Emvenci provides a range of cybersecurity learning and training solutions that help strengthen organisations’ security posture.
The event provided an opportunity for professionals directly responsible for protecting citizens’ data to exchange perspectives, share experiences and identify priorities in an increasingly sophisticated threat landscape.
This initiative reinforces Oramix’s commitment to supporting public organisations in building a more robust and sustainable security posture by encouraging dialogue between decision-makers and specialists. To learn more about how we can support your organisation, schedule a meeting with us.
